RAID Array

The acronym RAID is self-explanatory why it is important for data security: Redundant array of independent disks. Not only is RAID important for keeping an operating system running and data accessible if a drive fails, but data backups are even more important. RAID arrays can fail. However, a hot swappable drive can be popped out and replaced, the RAID array can be rebuilt, and it is done. Yet, multiple drives in a RAID array can fail. Without a good backup, the data would be inaccessible.
